Lovely and meticulous double room with comfortable bed, great storage space and good shower pressure. Iain the host was very friendly, helpful, and kind. I didn’t eat the included breakfast, as I was either too early or too late for it, but Iain offered me fruit and continental items. The location is central to all town sights, restaurants, and shops. A great stay!

What a lovely place to stay, I was looking for somewhere near to the railway station as I had a couple of early journeys to make, only 3 minutes to walk. I was made very welcome when I arrived, the hotel is not modern, more traditional, sticking to the theme of a Clansman. It was very clean, all the facilities were in the room or the lobby as you'd expect, comfy bed. When I filled out the booking form I put on that I'd probably miss breakfast as I had 2 early trains to catch, they arranged for a table to set out with cereals, toast, croissant and milk for me, brilliant. If I return to Inverness, I'll be looking to stay here again.

What a delightful place. Before we arrived, Iain made sure that we were well taken care of. We arrived in the morning yet slightly delayed by our overnight train. Iain had our room ready for us when we arrived allowing us to check-in quite early and begin our exploration of Inverness. As we had an early tour booked on our first morning, Iain made sure we had a packable breakfast to take with us on our journey. On our final morning, we were able to take advantage of the hot breakfast. Iain made sure that our food allergy questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. Will be recommending to anyone heading to Inverness.

A gem of a find. I’d been working in Inverness and looking for a hotel within my company’s budget. I was aghast at prices of chain hotel’s prices. I found MacDougall Clansman and what incredible value! The owner Iain is such a great host too, such a pleasant chap. Nice lounge area with comfortable sofas to chill and relax when you don’t want to sit in your room. I’ve had different rooms in the weeks I’ve stayed and all have been extremely clean and beds and pillows are super comfortable. Breakfast is fab and plentiful and tasty. Excellent value for money and above all, it’s central and restaurants and shops adjacent. Short walk to bus and train station and multi story car park if needed too. Returning for work later in the year and will rebook here for sure.
